Bogor Agricultural University is ready to apply the Internal Quality Assurance System Based on Balances Score Card (BSC). It is a planning and management system that links between the activities of the institution with the vision, mission and strategy of the organization, to improve internal and external communications, as well as to monitor the institution’ performance as whether it is in accordance with its strategic plan. They are very important as they will provide feedback on its internal processes and external outcomes, to enable the institution to improve the performance and the sustainable productions. It was  stated by Dr. Ir. Fredinan Yulanda at the Training Course and Socialization on the Quality Assurance at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science Bogor Agricultural University, on 16 December 2011.

Further,  Dr. Fredinan explained that data of the BSC system will be stored in the database, thus it will be  easier to operate, clear, transparent, good quality products and will  fit to the organizational needs. Moreover, it can be utilized to manage and be connected to the existing resources (human resources, finance, technology and facilities) for the benefit of the organization’s strategy where cost and value will cause variations in the level of output produced. In the long run, it  can be utilized to optimize the value, where key performance indicators will direct the strategy, accurately forecasting the achievement of outcomes, optimizing resources and maximizing creation value. "Achievements will be monitored on an ongoing basis, the process will be implemented  the Quality Control Unit  independently by the respective Department," she said.
 
She acknowledged Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Herry Suhardiyanto, M.Sc., and the Director of the Office of Quality Management for the consesion provided, bywhich it  has affirmed the quality assurance standards of the University. Rector pointed out, the quality assurance standards is important in the autonomy era, as it would be meaningless when the management of human resources won’t be  accompanied with the quality assuarance.

Rector advised, "We should really be sensitive to evaluate the retrospective performance. Hopefully our previous orientation were not just for accountability. Our orientation are not only prepared for auditing process, but we should adjust our work culture into the quality-oriented (the perspective of accountability, quality of graduates, quality management systems). If we have a good quality performance, then it  will be easier for us to move toward the goal of our University. (Wied).
