2011 University Achievements
Bogor Agricultural University again produced the qualified graduates as human resources and who are ready to build the agricultural sector in the broad sense. At the second stage of graduation the University confered 800 graduates, consisted of 37 graduates for doctoral degree, 131 graduates for masteral degree, 15 graduates for Master of Management degree, 22 graduates for Professional Masters degree, and 595 graduates for the undergraduate degree program. The graduates were from the nine faculties of Bogor Agricultural University.
In his remarks Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Herry Suhardiyanto, M. Sc., expressed his pride over several accomplishments made by the faculty members, staff, and students of the University who had been selected as faculty member, staff member and student of of the year nationwide in 2011.
"Alhamdulillah, Dr. Ir. Desrial, M. Eng., Head of Department of Engineering Program and Biosystem Engineering, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, was selected as the Chariman of the Department for the national level of the Year 2011, Dr. Ir. Sobir, M. Si, of the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture, was selected as the 3rd outstanding lecturer for national level, and Mr. Leo Wibisono, student of Food Science and Technology Studies, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, was selected as the Indonesian student of the year 2011 . The University and the entire its community should be proud of such achievements. However, we should not only satisfy with such achievements, we should continue to do our best to achieve more and to be contributive to the nation, "Rector said.
Of 595 graduate of the undergradute degree programs, the best student of the university level was Abednego Herbowo of Agribusiness Studies Program, Faculty of Economics and Management, with the highest GPA of 3.92 and he got Cum Laude predicate. For the Faculty level, the best student of the Faculty of Agriculture was Antonius Hari Kristanto of Agronomy and Horticulture Studies Program, with a GPA of 3.86 and Cum Laude predicate. The best student of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine was Ridi Arif, with a GPA of 3.75 and got Cum Laude predicate. The best student of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science was Suhana Sulastri of Aquatic Product Technology Studies Program, with a GPA of 3.70 and got Cum Laude predicate. The best graduates of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry was Aristya Wulandari, from Nutrition Program and Food Technology, with a 3.17 GPA and honors.
The best student of the Faculty of Forestry was Jauhar Khabibi of Forest Products Technology Studies Program, with a GPA of 3.88 and got Cum Laude predicate. The best student of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology was Daniel Pramudita, of Agricultural Engineering Study Program, with a GPA of 3.81 and got Cum Laude predicate. The best student of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences was Niken Anugraha Ningtyas of Biological Study Program, with a GPA of 3.84 and got Cum Laude predicate. The best student of the Faculty of Human Ecology was Anggy Nurmalasari Sukardi of Family and Consumer Sciences Study Program, with a GPA of 3.92 and got Cum Laude predicate.
For the graduate programs, the best student of the doctoral program was Sri Hartati Retno Mulyandari of the Communication of Agriculture and Rural Development Study Program with a GPA of 4.00, and the best student for Masters Program in Science, was Kusnandar of Applied Mathematics Study Program with a GPA of 4.00. For the Master degree Program for Management and Business, the best student was Eko Suroso with a GPA of 3.95. For the Professional Masters degree Program, the best student was Agus Triyanto of Small and Medium Industries study program with a GPA of 3.59.
