Workshop for Omda

Hard rain, did not decrease the spirit of students who represented their Associaitons for promotional to attend the Workshop Pembekalan Omda (Brefing for Omda), in the Toyyib Auditorium of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dramaga Campus, Tuesday, 1 November 2011. The workshop was organized by the Public Relations and Protocol Secretariat of the Executive (SE) of Bogor Agricultural University was attended by 300 students from various Local student Associations (Omda).
 
Chairman of the Executive Secretariat,  Dr. Bonny P.W. Sukarno, in his remarks he kept on  burning the spirit of those students to serve the best for their beloved alma mater. According to him, the various promotion programs initiated by the University, including the one by representatives of  students who are members of Omda, doesn’t mean that the animo of high school graduates into the University getting less and less.  But more importantly, the promotion is an attempt to maintain a good image of the University.

For this reasons, Dr. Bonny examplified a number of institutions and products that are well-know, but they kept  maintaining their  images through the  promotional programs. The enrichement programs  as representatives of Bogor Agricultural University  were given by  experts in their fields, namely the Director of Academic Assessment and Development (PPA), Ir. Lien Herlina, M.Sc., Head of  TPB Dormitories,  Dr. Irmansyah, and Manager of IPB International Convention Center (IICC), who  is also Head of Sub Directorate of Business Analysis and Business Partnership,  Ir. Lusi Fausia, M.Ec.
 
Ir Herlina Lien stressed the importance of cooperation, harmonization, and high confidence among OMDA in promoting Bogor Agricultural University. According to her,  the success or failure of the campaign program lies in the personality of the promoters. Prior to her presentation, Mrs. Lien, her nickname, showed  the film that depicts good cooperation among  two disable  ballerinas. But their personal defects are almost invisible, as each balerina complement each other for their perfect performance.  Meanwhile,  Dr. Irmansyah the described the multicultural friendship practiced in dorm.

The great challenge for  Omda is their efforts to persuade as much as possible high school graduates to pursue their higher degree programs at Bogor Agricultural University.  In such event the participants tried to be as creative as possible, accordingly one participant had attracted the attention of  the committee members. This one was Pradana Diva, known as the artist of the University. The specialty of Pradana, as member of Omda Banyuwangi,   appeared when the committee held question and answer session where he raised questions.
 
In the final program for the briefing session which was hosted by Siti Nuryati, TP S., the Manager of IICC (IPB International Conference Center), Mrs. Lusi, M. Si,  to share her experiences. Ir. Lusi Fausia, M.Ec. presented  "Preparing Programs for Specific Events". On this occasion, ,  and it seemed to be the important subject for the workshop participants as they seriously listened to.
