IPB Releases 66 Candidates of Hajj pilgrims

Rector of Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB), Prof. H. Herry Suhardiyanto released the departure of 66 pilgrims to the holy land, on Tuesday (27/9) in the Briefing and Releasing Ceremony for Hajj pilgrim Candidates. "I express congratulation to all pilgrims leaving for Mecca. I am sure the journey requires a lot of preparation and it is not easy. Do not think about the tasks left here. Insha Allah (with Allah’s will) everything is already taken care of by the department," said Rector.

Rector asks the pilgrims for an apology as this year we have not been able to get two guides accompanying pilgrimage candidates to Mecca and IPB cannot put all IPB staff into one group of pilgrimage. Rector hopes to improve pilgrim services next year.

Chairman of IPB Al-Hurriyah caravan, Prof. H. Bintoro expressed his message to the pilgrims that they should not pursue fame, but purely intend to worship the Almighty God. "Pilgrimage is an important moment, full of struggle, to come closer to God. It is very unfortunate if, after completing the pilgrimage, no self-improvement happens. Those who initially focused more on teaching and lack of worship are expected to become better upon their return," said Prof. H. Bintoro.

The Representative of IPB Hajj Candidates, Prof. Wahju Qamara Mugnisjah expects prayers and apology from the audience. "Hopefully we get Mabrur (accepted) pilgrimage," said Prof. Wahju.

In the release,  the IPB Hajj candidates received a short briefing from Prof.. Bintoro, H. Waladan Mardjija, Dr.Hj.Sri Budiarti and Tausyiah (spiritual advice) from Drs.HESyamsudin (Mtd)
