The 2011 Fifth Graduation of Bogor Agricultural University
Again, Bogor Agricultural University has graduated fresh agricultural experts to assist for the agricultural development in Indonesia. For the fifth batch of the graduation held at Grha Widya Wisuda, on 27 July 2011, the University awarded the certificates to 800 (eight hundred) graduates, consisted of 37 (thirty seven) Doctoral degree holders, 202 (two hundred two) Master degree holders, 20 (twenty) veterinerians, and 561 (five hundred and sixty one) Bachelor degree holders.
"This the special graduation, as it is the first for its kind, that Veterinarians had been graduated together with other graduates of Doctorate, Masters and Bachelors degrees holders, before they were being sworn into the Veterinarian," said Rector of IPB. Prof. Dr. Ir. Herry Suhardiyanto, M. Sc
Out of the 561 (five hundred and sixty one) Bachelor graduates, the best student of the 5th batch graduation was Reggie Surya of the Department of Food Technology, Faculty of Agricultural Technology (GPA was 3.99 and got Cum Laude predicate), the best graduate of the Faculty of Agriculture was Rosyi Damayanti T. Manningtyas of the Dapertment of Landscape Architecture (GPA 3.49 and got Highly Satisfactory predicate), the best graduate of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine was Candrani Khoirinaya (GPA 3.51 and got Highly Satisfactory predicate), the best graduate of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences is Ellis Permatasari of the Department of Aquatic Product Technology (3.91 GPA and got Cum Laude predicate).
The best graduate of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry was Paulina Yuniarsih of the Department of Animal Production Technology (GPA 3.60 and got Cum Laude predicate), the best graduate of the Faculty of Forestry was Nurul Iman Suansa of the Department of Forest Resources Conservation and Ecotourism (GPA 3.77 and got Very satisfactory predicate), the best graduate of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences was Debie Rizqoh of the Department of Biology (GPA 3.81 and got Highly satisfactory predicate), the best graduate of the Faculty of Economics and Management was Retni Cristina S, of the Department of Economics and Development Studies (3.89 GPA and got Cum Laude predicate), the best graduate from the Faculty of Human Ecology is A’immatul Fauziah of the Department of Nutrition (GPA 3.69 and got Very Satisfactory predicate).
For the graduate studies programs, the best graduate for doctoral degree was Nina Mindawati of Tropical Silviculture Studies Program (GPA 4:00) and for the Master degree, the best graduate was Lily Viruly (4:00 GPA) of Aquatic Product Technology program. For Master degree program for Management and Business, the best graduates was Goldati Agritha (GPA 3.97). For the Master degree of Professional program, the best graduate was Nunung Nurhayati of Small and Medium Enterprises program (GPA 3.87). For the Veterinary Professions Education program, the best graduates was Shinta Puspitasari (GPA 3.88).
Bogor Agrcultural University was Rated as the Five Star Top University
In the same occasion, Prof. Suhardiyanto stated the achievements made by the University. The results of the internationalization program of Bogor Agricultural University is very encouraging, among others, the University has been rated as the Five Star Top University based on QS version. Star for the internationalization program. Bogor Agricultural University has been grouped into the consortium of US-Indonesia Partnership Programs For Study Abroad (USIPP), and the consortioum is consisted of 6 universities in Indonesia and six universities in the United States to establish cooperation and partnership for the academic development between Indonesia & America. In addition, the Bogor Agricultural University has also joined in the consortium of Erasmus Mundus Scholarship (Expert of Eurasia2 and Asia). In 2011, out of the 32 (thirty two) applicants of Bogor Agricultural University for Eurasia 2, 7 (seven) passed the test. Out of 18 (eighteneen) applicants for Asia Expert, 6 (six) passed the exam. Finally, lately Bogor Agricultural University joined the Six University Initiative Japan Indonesia / SUIJI-Consortium (Bogor Agricultural University, Gadjah Mada University, Hasanuddin University, Ehime Univ, Kochi Univ, and Kagawa Univ). The consortium was established to strengthen Indonesia-Japan cooperation in the Tropical Agriculture development.
