Friday Tour in Sinarsari Village IPB Recommends one RT (Neighborhood) Become a Model to Create a Clean and Healthy Environment

There was high enthusiasm of the people of Sinarsari to the Friday Tour held by the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) IPB. This was evident from the many villages who crowed the mosque of Al Wustho located in the RW 03 on Friday morning (15/7).

Ustadz (Islamic Preacher) Dadang, the public figure of RW 03 (a group of neighborhood) said the presence of IPB among the people of Sinarsari Village is of great help – improving the health of the villagers and increasing their life standard.
 
Head of RW. 03, Muhammad Uus added, IPB has also assisted a lot with the people empowerment through Posdaya (Household Empowerment Center) supervised by IPB in this village. "Situ leutik located in RW 03 was initially not much utilized. Alhamdulillah (Thank to God) now the community gets additional income from it," he said.
 
Responding to the villagers who were still confused about the environmental health management, Vice Head of LPM IPB for Community Services, Dr. Ir. Prastowo suggested that Sinarsari Village focus the environmental health management on one RT (neighborhood) as a model. Next, IPB will always control and assist with the RT model.

Further, Dr. Prastowo said, his team will promote superior products made by Posdaya on the website (www.lingkarkampus.com). "Through the website it is expected that the superior products of Posdaya supervised by IPB can be marketed not only in the village, but also in other regions," he said. On occasion of this Friday Tour, IPB also gave trash bins and crystal guava seedlings to be grown along the side of the lake Situ leutik. Donation was also given to at least 20 orphans in Sinarsari Village. (Mtd)
