Bogor Agricultural University Sends 101 Students for PIMNAS
Bogor Agricultural University sends 101 (one hundred one) students to join the 2011 XXIVth National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS) held at the University of Hasanuddin, Makassar, South Sulawesi, on 18 – 22 Juli 2011.
They were despatched symbolically by Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Herry Suhardiyanto, M.Sc., accompanied by the Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Ir. Yonny Koesmaryono, MS., Director of Student Affairs, Dr. Rimbawan and the Head of Sub Directorate of Student Affairs for Interest and Talent, Mr. Bambang Riyanto, S. Pi, M. Si, at the Dramaga Campus, Bogor, on 15 July 2011. Rector fastened a PIMNAS participant pin to one of the delegates and presented a hand bag as symbol of their participation on PIMNAS.
This year the University sends 141 (one hundred fourty one) delegates consisted of 101 (one hundred one) students as 2011 XXIVth PIMNAS participants, 20 (twenty) faculty members as supervisors, and the rest are others officers and crew of Bogor Agricultural University.
A Total of 22 (twenty two) proposals of Bogor Agricultural University were accepted by the by the Organizing Committee of the XXIVth PIMNAS, consisted of Student Creativity Program for Research (PKM-P) 13 (thirteen) proposals, Entrepreneurship Student Creativity Program (PKM-K) 3 (three) proposals, Student Creativity Program Community Services (PKM-M) 2 (two) proposals, Student Creativity Program for Applied Technology (PKM-T) 2 (two) proposals, and Student Creativity Program for Written Ideas (PKM-CM) 2 (two) proposals. In addition, to the previous proposals, some proposals for Supplement Contest of the 2011 XXIVth PIMNAS were also accepted. Those proposals were consisisted of 1 (one) for Entrepreneurship Writing Competition, 1 (one) for Environmental Writing competition, and 1 (one) for Maritim Writing Competition.
The Bogor Agricultural University team for has prepared various activities to improve their capabilities. At the university level the University conducted internal contests for PIMNAS which was implemented at the same month, "said Bambang Riyanto, S. Pi, M. Si, in his report. Meanwhile, before fastening the pin, Rector requested the team to be well-prepared to record the best performance at the Hasanuddin University and they should be compete fairly.
There should be nothing to be overlooked in their preparations, as this will affect the their achiements. Make this event as a form of devotion to alma mater, and also as a form of dedication to the younger generation for the development of science and technology, "Rector stated. Rector also said that the trust for the University will even greater, if the students will achieve the best. (Wied).
