Politics Ceria 2011 Invited Mr. Marzuki Ali, Speaker of the House Representative, as Its Resource Person

Department of Politics, Strategic Studies and Advocacy of Student Executive Body (BEM) of Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) Bogor Agricultural University held Politics Ceria 2011. This year, this annual event,  was held for its fourth year,  the theme for this year event “Pembangunan Politik Bebas KKN (corruption, collusion, and nepotism) demi Indonesia yang lebih Berkeadilan dan Bermartabat (Development of Corruption-free Politics  to make  Indonesia more Justified and Dignified).
 
This year, Politics Ceria had a ‘package’ program which was designed differently from previous years, that include writing contest on "The Mirror of the Indonesian Politics, the Mirror of The Future of My Country", and "The Manipulated Tax’, caricature drawing competition with the theme "Money Politics" and "the Face of the Indonesian Politics”, as well as political debate with the theme "Starting from Me, We and Us – Towards Corruption-Free  Indonesia ",  those activities were held on 28 – 29 May 2011.
 
"The series of the package program was concluded  by the Political Seminar held  on Sunday, 29 May 2011, at the Auditorium Andi Hakim Nasution, Darmaga campus.  Mr. Marzuki Ali, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Jakarta, was invited as resource person who talked on "Strengthening the Pillars of the House of Representatives 2009-2014 Strategic Plan" explained Lintang as Chairman of the Organizing Committee.
 
Prior to the seminar, the OC organized the Political Debate Championship. The political  debate was participated by 3 (three) teams from the Brawidjaya University,  1 (one) team from the University of Semarang, 1 (one)  team from the University of Indonesia, and 1 (team) from the University of Gajah Mada, and 1 (one) team from the Bogor  Agriculture University. 2 (two) teams, form  Bogor  Agriculture University and from University of Gajah Mada  went to the final round. The the theme for the final debate was “The construction of the Parliament Building is required to Enhance Performance of the House Representative Members”,  and  debaters of Bogor  Agriculture University as (Pro) and debaters  Gadjah Mada University  as (cons). At the end of the seminar, the jury announced that the debaters of of the Gadjah Mada University was the winner  of the championship.
 
In the preliminary round, the theme wer: (1). Larangan Pemilik Media menjadi Politikus (Prohibition of the  Media Owner to become a Politician); (2). Koalisi Partai Untuk apa Rugi (Why  Should Coalition Parties Suffering the Loss):  and (3). Hukum Paling Tepat untuk Koruptor adalah Hukuman Mati (Death Penalty  is the Best for the Corruptors). "We congratulate the University of  Gadjah Mada  team as the winner for the political debate," he added. (Wied).
