Her full name is Anissa Hasanah, a student of the Department of Landscapes Architecture, Faculty of Agriculture, IPB. She is the "Top 4 Indonesia Bayer Young Environmental Envoy" and the Indonesian Representative of Environment on "Bayer Young Environmental Envoy 2010 in Leverkusen, Germany" with the work of "Eco-Monopoly". In celebrating the National Education Day (May 2), Anissa, an IPB student with an international achievement, was asked to be the speaker / resource person in the Evening Dialogue at RRI, and share knowledge and experience with the listeners of RRI Bogor.
"Of some 190 participants in the screening process, 30 people were elected, and 15 were in the semi-final with 7 judges of various elements such as environmental NGOs and PT. Bayer and in the final the judges were from the Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Forestry, and Environmental NGO’s as well. Of the eight finalists, there were only four selected to take the opportunity to go to Germany, one of whom was me as an Environment Ambassador. This was her answer at the beginning of the dialogue, when she was asked about her departure to Leverkusen, Germany.
"Monopoly" is a game that has long been popular in Indonesia, but the "Eco-Monopoly" is the type of game invented by this student of IPB. There are some interesting things about this game, for example, it is focused more on the elements of education and environmental knowledge so that school pupils (from the third to fifth grades 3 -5 of elementary schools) in the game are driven to know and love the environment – the more knowledge of environment they have, the more wealth they gain. In comparison, while in the monopoly game, pupils can be rich in material properties, in the eco-monopoly they are encouraged not only to be rich in material wealth, but more importantly they are rich in knowledge of environment and always maintain it by avoiding deviant behaviors that will cause damage to the environment itself. There are three types of games in the Eco-Monopoly: carbon footprint, national parks and landscape architecture, which encourage the spirit of the children to manage the environment or nature to make it beautiful to see.
