Bogor Agricultural University Installed 12 officials

12 (twelve) officials had been  intalled for the University by the Rector, Prof. Herry Suhardiyanto,  at  Andi Hakim Nasoetion Building, Darmaga Campus, on 21 June 2011.

The 12 officials were being installed for the positions as the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Chairman of the Department of Feed Technology of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, and some officials in the Library, and the Directorate of Facilities and Property. The new Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, is Dr. Ir Ernan Rustiadi, Magr, he succeeded  Prof.Dr.Ir. Didi Sopandie,  the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Prof. Dr.Ir. Bambang Hero Saharjo, succeeded Dr. M. Agr. Ir. Hendrayanto. Meanwhile Dr. Ir. Idat Galih Permana, MSc, was reelected as the Chairman of the Department of Nutrition Sciences and Feed  Technology of Faculty of Animal Husbandry.

In addition to the installment of officials for faculties and department, officials for the Library and the Directorate of Facilities and Property of the University were also being installed. New officials for the Library are as follows: (1). Ms. Ratnaningsih, S. Sos, as Head of Development & Management of Library Materials; (2). Ms. Janti Gristinawati Sujana, as Head of Library Services for Users; (4). Ir. Khayatun, as Head of the Acquisition of Library Materials Section; (5). Ir. Yaya Suryanata, as Head of Library Processing Section; (6). Mr. Deden Himawan, S. Sos, as Head of Circulation Section; (7). Ms. Irma Elvina, S. Sos,  as Head of Reference Section; (8). Mr. Abidin, SE, as  Head of Archive Management Section.

For the Directorate of Facilities and Property of Bogor Agricultural University,  MA. Amin Suroso, ST,  as Head of Building and Roads Management Section, and Mr. Agus Amperanoto, SH, as Head of Park Management, Land and Hygiene Section.

In general, Rector expected that the elected officials will perform  good jobs, work harder, and full of devotion and dedication to develop the University in realizing  its goals as stated in its vision, to be a research-based universities with world-class core competencies of tropical agriculture and biosciences and entrepreneurial character.  Specifically Rector requested the newly installed Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture to develop research-based international agricultural sciences.

In addition, Rector  also asked to formulate immediately a work program with respect to strategic issues such as issues of food crisis, energy crisis, the problem of spatial and landscape development and the environment. The Faculty of Agriculture is also expected to enhance the development of organic farming, seeds and pests and crop protection. To the Dean of the Faculty of  Forestry, Rector expected that the Faculty will continuesly develop to be  a leading higher learning  institutions in the field of forestry, both nationally and internationally.

Furthermore Rector expected, that the Faculty of Forestry will develop subject on medicinal plants that live in forests that are beneficial to human health. In addition,  to the newly appointed chairman of the department, he expected that the department will achieve its position as  the spearhead in its efforts to increase international publications,  both in quantity and quality.

For ther newly instasalled staff and officials in the library, they are requested to develop the library collections to support the development of  Science and technology,  and to make the library as the source of scientific information for the academicians and the community as well.

To the Head of Sections in the Directorate of Facilities and Property,  Rector expected that they assist him in to implement the inventory and identifying the conditions of building and installation in the campus, observing and documenting  physical condition of roads, parks and lands owned by the University , as well as maintaining and repairing streets, and parks, lands and managing the cleanliness of the campus environment.  (Wied).
