Directorate of Student Affairs of IPB and PT. Djarum gave students a briefing related to the company’s CSR programs. One of the programs is a scholarships Plus for students. The event, titled ‘Learn from the Experts’, was held at the Auditorium of Toyib Hadiwijaya, Darmaga Campus of IPB, (18 / 5).

According to Supervisor of Beswan Djarum, Sapto, the program of Beswan Djarum is of great interest in IPB; its applicants exceed expectations. The program was the second time held in IPB.

Furthermore, Sapto says that the recipients of Djarum Scholarship, who are from 73 state colleges and 8 private colleges, can also participate in the character development programs such as seminars, trainings (leadership, motivation), outbound activities, practical and entrepreneurial skills.

In addition, according to him, currently PT.Djarum has given 6786 scholarships in state universities of 24 provinces in Indonesia.

This event presented the first world-class online marketer from Indonesia, Anne Ahira.

Head of Sub Directorate of Student Affairs IPB, Bambang Riyanto hopes that this Beswan Djarum can enrich students’ horizons and they can explore from the resource person the knowledge of online business and how to develop it.

In front of the students, Anne Ahira reported that in Indonesia the majority of people benefit from the only as users such as opening the email, chatting and browsing. Yet according to her, the Internet can serve more than that, through the internet we can do business of any kind.

As an online marketer, now she has revenue of about 5000-7000 U.S. dollars / day. She stresses, however, that in business nothing is instant; it takes her 10 years to become an online marketer, and adds that online business is a promising one. (Mtd)
