Every student has a story behind their college journey. For Naratania Azra Malika, her family had a huge influence on that journey. The support and values instilled by her parents since childhood became the strength that shaped Nara until she finally achieved the title of one of IPB University’s best graduates.

“My mother is a teacher and my father is an entrepreneur. Since childhood, they have taught me the meaning of perseverance, responsibility, and the courage to keep moving forward,” she said.

For Nara, her family is more than just a source of encouragement. “They are my home, where I feel fulfilled and strengthened, regardless of the results I achieve.”

Nara is from Jakarta. In this city, she completed her high school education at SMA Negeri 80 Jakarta before finally being accepted at IPB University through the Joint Selection for State Universities (SBMPTN).

During her college years, what she is most grateful for is the opportunity to meet many people from diverse backgrounds. These encounters did not only happen in the classroom, but also became part of her life journey.

“It wasn’t just about greeting each other in class, but also struggling together, getting tired together, and strengthening each other during certain times. There were many simple moments that, when remembered now, feel warm and touching,” she recalled.

She also acknowledged that his college journey was not always easy. There were difficult phases, especially when he had to adjust to the rhythm of lectures, academic responsibilities, and the demands to continue to develop. However, this process shaped him into a more resilient and reflective person.

At IPB University, she completed her studies in the Aquatic Product Technology Study Program, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK). It all started with her curiosity about how aquatic resources could be processed optimally and sustainably.

According to her, this field plays an important role in bridging science, technology, and community needs, especially in increasing the added value of aquatic products.

“I chose IPB University because it is known for its strength in agriculture and marine science, so I felt that the academic environment would be very supportive of my interests,” she added.

After completing her studies, Nara has a simple hope. She wants the knowledge and experience she gained during her studies to be put to good use, both in her career and in her daily life. (dh) (IAAS/LAN)
