IPB University has once again made a mark at the national level. A total of 12 IPB innovators were selected in the 117 Indonesian Innovations-2025 event organized by the Business Innovation Center (BIC). This achievement reinforces IPB University’s commitment to promoting the commercialization of research and innovation that benefits society.

The 117 Indonesian Innovations program is an annual agenda of BIC to identify and appreciate outstanding innovations from various sectors. The selected innovations are assessed based on their readiness for implementation, commercialization potential, and tangible contribution to national needs.

The Rector of IPB University, Dr Alim Setiawan Slamet, expressed his gratitude for the selection of these innovators. He emphasized that this recognition is proof of the quality of research and innovation developed by the IPB University academic community.

“Alhamdulillah, we are grateful for this achievement. The selection of 12 innovators from IPB University shows that the innovations we have developed are increasingly recognized and have strong prospects for application in society,” he said.

He added that research commercialization is an important focus for IPB University so that research results do not stop at publication but are able to provide economic and social added value.

“We hope that these innovations can continue to be developed, strengthened through collaboration with industry, and provide broad benefits for the nation,” he said.

Dr Alim also emphasized that the progress of a nation is largely determined by the strength of its innovation. According to him, there is no developed country without sustainable and integrity-driven innovation.

“Innovation must generate trust, build collaboration, and ultimately have a real impact on society. From this, the innovation movement will grow more massive and create economic added value,” he said.
