IPB University successfully ranked third in the 2025 National Scientific Week (Pimnas). The winners were announced at the closing ceremony of the 38th Pimnas, which took place at the JK Arenatorium Sports Hall, Makassar, South Sulawesi, on Thursday (27/11).

The Rector stated that the team’s participation was clear evidence that creativity, hard work, and a never-give-up spirit could make IPB University shine at the national level.
“Thank you to all the students who have fought hard, as well as the accompanying lecturers who have dedicated themselves to supporting this process. Hopefully, this success will inspire them to continue working and bringing pride to IPB in various scientific forums,” he said.
He also gave special appreciation to the supervising lecturers, whom he considered not only to have played a role in strengthening academics, but also in inspiring a spirit of innovation and collaboration in students.
Furthermore, the Rector emphasized that this achievement reflects IPB University’s commitment to fostering creativity, innovation, and competitiveness among students at the national level. Pimnas is the culmination of a long selection process. This year, 1.590 teams received funding from more than 30.000 student proposals, and only 420 teams made it to the final event.
“This number shows the intense competition and high quality of Indonesian students’ work. Pimnas serves as a space for new innovations to be born, collaboration networks to be formed, and the strengthening of students’ character as future leaders,” said the Chair of the Committee and Vice Rector of Hasanuddin University (Unhas) for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof Muhammad Ruslin.
This year’s Pimnas was attended by 1.847 students and 401 faculty members from 167 universities across Indonesia. (dh)(IAAS/RWA)
