More than 8.000 IPB University Students Participate in Talent Mapping, 40 Percent Want to Become Professionals
IPB University presented the results of the 2025 Talent Mapping program to faculties/schools as part of efforts to strengthen data-based student development. This year’s Talent Mapping activity was attended by more than 8.000 new IPB University students from the 62nd batch.
Since 2021, IPB University has routinely mapped the interests, talents, and potential of each student through Talent Mapping. This initiative aims to comprehensively map the potential of new students so that areas that need improvement and potential that can be further developed can be identified.
Director of Student Affairs Dr Beginer Subhan explained that Talent Mapping is one of the main sources for developing data-based student development programs. This approach is considered to help faculties/schools design more measurable interventions, both in academic and non-academic aspects.
Talent Mapping 2025 Results
In terms of career interests, the results of the Talent Mapping 2025 analysis show that the largest trend among students is in the professional sector (40,24%), followed by bureaucracy/leadership (28,7%), academia/research (20,25%), and entrepreneurship (10,81%). This distribution serves as the basis for faculties/schools in preparing strategies to strengthen competencies and provide more relevant and targeted career guidance.
IPB University Vice Rector for Education and Student Affairs, Prof drh Deni Noviana, emphasized the importance of optimal data utilization in student development.
“We encourage faculties to make the best use of Talent Mapping data for student development in their respective faculties/schools,” he said.
IPB University reaffirms its commitment to optimizing the use of Talent Mapping and cross-unit data integration as the foundation for more targeted student development, both in academic and non-academic aspects. (*/Rz)(IAAS/KDP)
