IPB University Consistently Wins Indonesia’s SDGs Action Awards 2025
IPB University has once again won an award as one of the best universities in Indonesia’s SDGs Action Awards (SAA) 2025 from the Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency (Ministry of PPN/Bappenas). This year, IPB University won second place in the Higher Education category.
The Minister of National Development Planning/Chairman of Bappenas, Prof Rachmat Pambudy, said that this award was part of the 8th MBG National Strategic Program Sustainable Development Conference, SDGs Annual Conference (SAC) 2025.
“This program involves collaboration with the United Nations (UN), the National Nutrition Agency, and various other stakeholder institutions,” he explained.
He added, “We only have five years left until 2030. Indonesia’s SDGs Action Awards are an important instrument for recognizing best practices in achieving the SDGs.”
The Vice Rector of IPB University for Resource and Infrastructure Resilience, Dr Alim Setiawan, expressed his gratitude for this achievement. According to him, this award is the result of the cooperation and contribution of the entire IPB University community, including lecturers, educational staff, and students, in realizing the SDGs.
“IPB University is committed to accelerating the achievement of SDGs in Indonesia. This commitment is realized through the utilization of innovation and the expansion of collaborative community service programs to strengthen the socio-economic resilience of rural communities within the framework of the SDGs,” said Dr Alim after receiving the award.
