IPB University Students Win Five Awards at the 31st Tri-U IJSS in Japan
IPB University students have once again made a proud achievement on the international stage at the 31st Tri-U International Joint Seminar and Symposium (IJSS) held by Mie University, Japan.
IJSS is an annual event that brings together students from member universities of the Tri-U consortium, namely Mie University (Japan), Jiangsu University (China), Chiang Mai University (Thailand), Guangxi University (China), and Maejo University (Thailand). This event aims to facilitate knowledge exchange and discussion on global issues.
This year’s topics included population, food, energy, environment, and disaster management. In addition to seminars and symposiums, participants also took part in a series of cultural observation and exchange activities as well as workshops designed to hone their collaboration and critical thinking skills.
The IPB University delegation won five awards at the 31st Tri-U IJSS:
- Best Group Workshop: Ramadaniasakina Tsuzuki (Forest Resource Conservation and Ecotourism) and Raden Muhamad Daud Yusuf (Applied Meteorology)
- Best Presentation Award-Environment: Nabila Aishi Octaviana (Marine Science and Technology)
- Best Presentation Award-Food: Salma Prameswari Nursaadah (Nutrition Science)
- The Presentation Award-Disaster Management: Avrill Khayyira (Civil and Environmental Engineering)
- The Presentation Award-Population: Andi Mahatir Nur Tasrih (Business School)
Director of Student Affairs at IPB University, Dr Beginer Subhan, said that this participation and achievement is clear evidence of the contribution of IPB University students in international forums, while also expanding networks and increasing global capacity. “Congratulations to all delegates for this proud achievement,” he said.
