Introducing Campus Identity, IPB Future Museum and Gallery Become an Educational Platform for New Students
The IPB Future Museum and Gallery became one of the special destinations in the welcoming series for the 62nd batch of new students at IPB University, ‘Jatayu Harsakala’. This visit is part of the Student Orientation Program (MPKMB), which is designed to introduce IPB University more closely to its new students.
Through various activities inside the museum, students are invited to understand the history, values, and development of the campus. The aim is to foster a sense of pride and love for their alma mater from the beginning of their journey at IPB University.
The visit to the IPB Future Museum and Gallery took place from July 28 to September 1, 2025. In the first two weeks, a total of 5.289 new students visited the museum, which is located at the IPB Dramaga Campus.
This number shows the high enthusiasm of IPB University’s new students towards campus introduction activities. The figure is expected to continue rising as new students from the Vocational School program are scheduled to visit this August.
The series of activities during the visit includes museum tours, the Baswara Nawasena temporary exhibition, as well as various interactive games such as Campus Quest and several board games. Each group conducted the tour independently, accompanied by a Group Supervisor (PJK).
The Baswara Nawasena exhibition was specially presented to welcome new students to IPB University and showcases the journey of students from the MPKMB period up to graduation moments. Meanwhile, Campus Quest is an interactive game that encourages participants to explore and solve puzzles about the history of the first five faculties at IPB University. This activity is designed to combine educational and entertaining elements in campus introduction.
Participants showed great enthusiasm throughout the visit. They felt happy and impressed with the experience at the IPB Future Museum and Gallery.
“IPB University’s Museum is very modern and innovative,” said Femi, Jack, Sundari, and Nisrina from the Laskara Caksana group. Meanwhile, Ammar from Laskara Yosattva added, “This museum is very educational because it provides various information about the history of IPB University.”
The positive response from the participants reflects the success of IPB University in providing an engaging and memorable campus introduction experience. This activity has become an effective strategy in introducing the identity of IPB University to new students. Through an innovative and enjoyable approach, students can more easily understand campus values. This also helps strengthen their emotional bond with IPB as their new place of learning.
