Seeing the great potential of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), IPB University’s Innovation Real-Thematic Work Lecture students in Sukawening Village, Dramaga, Bogor Regency, West Java held a program to increase the capacity, competitiveness and marketing of MSME products. The program is called MSME Financial Recording (Pecakum).

In its implementation, IPB University students collected data on MSMEs with the help of local RT and RW. Furthermore, the KKNT Innovation team visited MSME players to be asked for data for making Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) and for socializing the use of e-commerce.

“After being registered to one of the QRIS provider applications, MSME players need to wait about 5-7 days until the QRIS code appears and can be used,” said Ronna Meila Leswana, one of the KKNT Innovation IPB University team members.

In addition to the use of QRIS, Ronna continued, MSMEs are also facilitated by registering their business locations to Google Maps, as well as their products to online platforms. More than 15 MSMEs in Sukawening Village have been successfully digitized.

“This program is expected to provide benefits for MSME players in Sukawening Village, including increasing digital knowledge and skills, expanding market reach, increasing product sales, and facilitating financial transactions, both for MSME players and customers,” she explained.

According to one of the MSME actors in Sukawening Village, this program has been very helpful, especially in terms of product sales. “Yes, it’s because the young people taught us. Sales have also increased because our products are now available on GoFood, so it’s not just local residents who buy them. Overall, it’s been great. Thank you, everyone,” said one of the program beneficiaries of Pecakum. (*/Rz) (IAAS/PRO)
