The splendor of Eid al-Adha 1444 H can be seen from the spirit of being willing to sacrifice what is loved in order to obey Allah's commands. What was exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim and Prophet Ismail to perform sacrifices is a form of piety and concern to share with others. This can also be seen on the IPB University Campus.

On Thursday (29/6), coinciding with 1 Shawwal 1444 H, residents of IPB University and the community around the campus carried out Eid al-Adha prayers in congregation in two areas, namely Rector's Field, Dramaga Campus of IPB and Baranangsiang Campus of IPB. The imam and khatib of the Eid Prayer at the Dramaga Rectorate Field of IPB was Dr Asep Nurhalim, a lecturer in the Islamic Economics Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM). While the imam and khatib of the Eid Prayer at the IPB Baranangsiang Campus is Prof Abdul Munif who is a lecturer at IPB University from the Plant Protection Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture who is also Chair of the Al-Hurriyyah Mosque Prosperity Council (DKM).

Two days later, on Saturday (1/7) to be exact, a sacrificial animal was slaughtered by DKM Al-Hurriyyah Mosque from the muhsinins with the spirit of 'Sacrifice on Campus'. The number of sacrificial animals slaughtered was 6 cows and 23 sheeps.

The slaughtering ceremony starts at 07.00 WIB. The sacrificial committee consisting of DKM Al-Hurriyyah officials, employees, marbut and students around the campus work together so that the process of slaughtering, chopping meat to distribution can run safely and effectively. Especially for the slaughter of cattle, DKM Al-Hurriyyah cooperates with the Slaughterhouse (RPH) of the Faculty of Animal Sciences, IPB University.

By evening, the packaging of the sacrificial meat had been completed and 1,000 packages of sacrificial meat were obtained. The qurbani meat packages are then distributed to the mustahik managed by the Al-Hurriyyah Amil Zakat Institute (LAZ), the qurban committee, freelance workers, technicians, campus security, residents of the lecturer housing, student dormitories on and around the campus, taklim assemblies. , as well as several mosques around the IPB University campus.
