IPB University Presented an Inspirational Figure at the 60th Campus Orientation Event
In the series of events for the New Student Campus Introduction Period (MPKMB), IPB University invited a number of inspirational figures who could motivate new students to start their life as students. The activity was held on Monday, 7/8 at the Graha Widya Wisuda Building, Dramaga Campus of IPB University.
The first inspiring figure presented was Volika Sinci Sari, 1st Best Achievement Student for the National Diploma Program. The IPB University Vocational School student from the Digital Communication and Media Study Program also won the Honorable Mention Inspiring Concern in the Awarding of the 2023 National Level Student Selection for Achievement (Pilmapres).
"I stand here as an outstanding student, but I hope you don't only see how great it is. See that you can also be in this position and be the best version of yourself," she said.
“When you are a student, there are many opportunities to learn and develop yourself. Therefore, be not only smart for yourself but also smart and useful for others," he continued.
Bayu Mukti Anggara, an inspirational alumnus who attended the MPKMB event, explained his successful business in the field of techno-sociopreneurship, namely Fishlog. He feels happy to be able to share and inspire new students and share his experience in setting up a Fishlog company.
"Fishlog is a company founded by three people including myself and the only company that has received investment from venture capital. The reason I built Fishlog is because we wanted to connect fishermen with the technology we built," he said.
He advised to use the existing acceleration because according to him everyone has the same opportunities and access. "This must be started because there is no failure to meet the point of surrender, so the struggle must be continued," explained Bayu.
Another inspiring figure, is Anton Sukarna, Director of Sales and Distribution of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia. He invited students to be able to use technology to achieve social goals and have a positive impact on society.
"IPB University provides a place for you to study technology, related to entrepreneurship that you can develop. If we want to succeed in anything, we must have competence and character that is persistent, caring, creative, and innovative and must also be open to input," said Anton.
"Use our time to invest in the goodness that is our good nature and it will be innate for life. We must continue to explore so that we can become people with extraordinary capabilities," he added. (Lp/Rz) (IAAS/BLA)
