Five Creative Business Proposals for Young Adults Guided by Incubie of IPB were Passed to be Funded by Kemenristekdikti

A total of five proposals for the Technology-based Beginner Enterprise Program (PPBT) from the tenants of the Center for Business Incubator and Entrepreneurship Development (IncuBie), Institute for Research and Community Services (LPPM), Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) managed to pass and be funded by Kemenristek Dikti in 2018. The five tenants were Gema Sukmawati (Helm Green Composite), Inna Dinovita (Saesha Mask), Reza Prasetya (Sanlife Greentea Latte), Axel Nathaniel (Tepung Pempek Hijabers), and Ryan Fachrozan (Kosmetik Rumput Laut).

Incubie of IPB prepared five assistants for each tenant, respectively, were Fikri Azali Faisal Syaf, Muhammad Alfian, Deva Primadia Almada, Annisa Nurul Koesmarini, and Asna Jauhari.

The series of PPBT 2018 Program began with the activity of PPBT Business Camp 2018 which was attended by all participants of PPBT as many as 143 entrepreneurs and 143 companion of tenants of the institution of Inkubator Bisnis Perguruan Tinggi / Business Incubator of Higher Education (public/private) throughout Indonesia. This activity was held for 6 days (9-14 April 2018) in Mercure Hotel, Ancol, Jakarta.

The PPBT Business Camp 2018 was officially opened by the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Menristek-Dikti), Muhammad Nasir. In his speech, Menristek-Dikti expected from all participants of PPBT would grow innovative companies or industries which were competitive nationally and internationally.

The PPBT Program aimed to grow and develop the innovative start-up and to enhance the role of technological business incubator in the incubation process, through the incentive funding support. The stages of the activities of PPBT included the business activities of the tenants, the incubation/companion of tenant by the incubator, the exhibition of Inovator Inovasi Indonesia Expo (I3E), the exhibition of Hari Teknologi Nasional (Hateknas), the Capacity Building, the Business Matching, and the Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev).

This Business Camp activity aimed to improve the human resource capacity of the tenant and companion in order to develop the business and to incubate the tenant. In the business camp activity, the tenant and companion were provided the briefing with the materials ranging from the business communication, the start-up funding, the business plan, the branding, the good incubation practice, the coaching, the talkshow success story tenant, and more.

Two tenants of IncuBie who were the alumni of the participants of PPBT in the previous year had the opportunity to share their business experiences in the session of the Success Story. They were Ardiansah Febriantoko (Healthy Sweet) and Edgina Burton (Kefir Aneka Rasa Ke’if).

The focus of the companion activities which would be done by IncuBie to the tenants covered the technical production and the product development, the business management and the human resources, the preparation of the business plan, the business legality and the product certification, the financing and market facilitation, the business matching, the exhibition and so forth. After following the incubation process, it was expected that the tenants would grow, be independent, and be energized.
