IPB University Hosts the MWA Forum Gathering and PTN BH Audit Committee Communication Forum
The Board of Trustees (MWA) of IPB University held a Gathering event for the MWA Forum and Communication Forum for the Legal Entity State University Audit Committee (PTN BH) at the IPB International Convention Center (IICC). This discussion activity lasted for two days 7-8 March 2023.
Prof Tridoyo Kusumastanto, Head of MWA IPB University hopes that this activity can provide benefits for the progress of PTN BH and the progress of the Indonesian nation and state. According to him, PTN BH has made a significant contribution in developing superior human resources who make a contribution. Of course this is a very important asset for the Indonesia.
In addition, he added, facing climate change, changes that have an impact on various disasters and disrupted productivity, of course this is a challenge in thinking about future steps to overcome various problems that are being overcome by the people.
“I hope that we will jointly build collaborative synergies between universities. Hopefully after this we can provide ideas and breakthroughs for the advancement of PTN BH as well as PTN in Indonesia,” he said.
Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Mendikbud Ristek), Nadiem Makarim appreciated this activity. “The word hospitality has a deep meaning, walking in the spirit of mutual cooperation which is our main foundation in efforts to accelerate the quality of higher education. We at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology are committed to making improving the quality of education one of the main priorities from Freedom of Learning,” he said.
In addition, he said, as one of the main policy areas for Freedom of Learning on an Independent Campus, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology provided greater flexibility for new PTNs and work unit to apply to become PTN BH. “In addition, PTN BH must be able to produce more innovations through the implementation of quality higher education tri dharma,” he said.
Also present as a guest speaker at the first session in this activity, the Main Director of the Education Fund Management Institution (LPDP), Dr Andin Hadiyanto. He revealed that the target for new LPDP recipients in 2023 was 7,000 people. “The LPDP service program is in the form of fund management, education endowment fund services for scholarships and research as well as Islamic boarding schools, Research Endowment Fund services, Higher Education Endowment Fund Services, Cultural Endowment Fund Services
According to him, the 2023 LPDP Scholarship Program is divided into three. Namely the General Program, Targeted Program and Affirmation Program,” he explained.
“LPDP has funded the collaboration program of the Ministry of Education and Culture and Research and Technology since 2020 which began with the Pilot Teaching Campus (Non-Degree) program. In 2021, the collaboration program of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology will continue to develop both degree programs (S1, Masters and Doctoral) and non-degree programs for competency development for students, vocational students, lecturers, teachers and education staff. This includes supporting the Freedom of Learning Independence Campus (MBKM) program. Meanwhile, in 2022, there will be new programs including Garuda Ace and the Nusantara Student Dormitory,” he said.
