IPB University Collaborates with CWMA for Expertise Certification in Wealth Management

IPB University signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Certified Wealth Managers Association (CWMA) at the Dramaga Campus of IPB, Bogor (27/1). The signing of the MoU was carried out by the Deputy Chancellor for Cooperation and Information Systems, Prof. Dr. Dodik Ridho Nurochmat and Desi Armadiani, General Secretary of the CWMA witnessed by a number of officials from both institutions.

CWMA is an independent association which is a non-profit institution whose membership is not only limited to professionals in the banking sector but also in the fields of insurance, capital markets, taxation and inheritance. Due to the increasing number of requests from the public to manage large amounts of funds, a new profession, wealth manager, has emerged. Wealth Managers are professionals who are experts in the field of wealth management. Wealth management has more to do with personal finance management rather than corporate finance management. Wealth management is a process that continues to develop following the dynamics of human life. In almost all bona fide financial institutions such as banks, insurance, securities, pension funds, inheritance, fund managers, providing wealth management services.

Prof. Dodik Ridho Nurochmat has high hopes for this collaboration. "We hope that this collaboration can provide benefits not only for students, but also for lecturer research. "With the signing of this collaboration, there is a need for socialization to students that they can take professional certification at CWMA," explained Prof. Dodik.

The same thing was said by Desi Armadiani. He said that currently world competition is getting tougher. Disruption in various fields requires superior and dedicated quality human resources (HR). "To realize superior quality human resources in the field of wealth management, CWMA continues to strive to collaborate and cooperate with educational institutions in Indonesia," he said. (IAAS/NAS)
