IPB University Campaigns National Archive Conscious Conscious Movement

The Archives Unit of IPB University held a Filing Seminar and Exhibition "Modern Archive Management in Support of the National Archive Conscious Conscious Movement (GNSTA) in the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0".  The Head of the Archives Unit of IPB University, Drs B Mustafa, MLib stated the purpose of this activity was to socialize the Regulation of the Head of the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI) No.7 of 2017 concerning GNSTA and the launching of the GNSTA Commitment within the faculties and departments of IPB University.

"With this activity, it is expected that participants' knowledge and understanding of the importance of archivists will increase.  Because archives are the center of memory for every organization.  Poor archive management will affect the reputation level of an organization, "Mustafa said, Saturday (10/30), at the Campus of IPB University.

On that occasion, the signing of the declaration of commitment of GNSTA in the campus environment of IPB University by all heads of faculty and department administration in IPB University.  The contents of the commitment contain the implementation of records management properly in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations, realizing orderly records as a priority program in the work unit, supervising, monitoring, evaluating and reporting on the implementation of records management, building awareness, common perception, commitment and involvement  all employees in the work unit for the use and benefits of the archive.  In addition, being obedient to the Guidelines for Official Manuscripts and Filing in the form of Official Manuscripts (TND), Archive Classification Code (KKA), Archive Retention Schedule (JRA), and Archive Access Security Classification System (SKKAA) IPB University.

"Each department on the campus of IPB University carries out periodically inactive archive transfers to the Faculty Record Center and implements the destruction of archives that have retired after the laws and regulations.  I also hope they carry out the submission of static archives in accordance with the legislation from the faculty to the Archives Unit of IPB University as the Archives Institute of IPB University, "Mustafa said.

Through the holding of this activity, Mustafa also hopes that more human resources will be motivated to build an Archive Awareness in their respective work environments.  This can support the bureaucratic reform process towards creating clean, effective, democratic, reliable, accountable and transparent organizational governance.
