The disruption era forces all element to work quick, precise, and integrated to achieve a goal more effectively. It also applies to infrastructure development, it currently involves many disciplines.

The application of technology 4.0 that takes into account environmental aspects is the focus of current infrastructure development. Various discussions related to the development of infrastructure took place to broaden insights.

One of the discussions was the 2019 Indonesian National Civil and Environmental Festival Seminar which was held by the Civil and Environmental Engineering Student Association (Himatesil), Faculty of Agricultural Technology (Fateta), IPB University in the Andi Hakim Nasution Auditorium, Dramaga IPB Campus (13/10).

The seminar themed “Green Infrastructure toward 4.0 Development” discussed various developments in infrastructure that considered environmental aspects. Infrastructure became a base in an approach framework and adaptation strategy of climate change.

Ir Bambang Rianto, MSc, the keynote speaker, explained the implementation of environmentally friendly spatial planning. The Head of the West Java Provincial Environment Office stated that currently spatial planning must be based on the concept of sustainable development. This concept has a legal basis that is being developed namely the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA).

Dr. Sudhiani Pratiwi as the Deputy Director for Climate Change, The Directorate of Environment, the Ministry of Planning and National Development / National Development Planning Agency said that infrastructure development now needed to pay attention to climate change issues such as the dry and unpredictable rainy season. "Climate uncertainties affect agricultural production, flood potential, and others," she added.

Ni Made Sasanti, Senior Vice President, Head of Strategic Planning, Research, and Technology Division of PT. Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) Tbk said that BIM (Building Information Modeling) was a model in digital development planning that was carried out from the beginning until the maintenance period.

"BIM is considered to be very beneficial because it can design and identify the shape of the building first before digitally built. So, BIM can be a solution to reduce the errors that may occur in the development process. It also can be integrated with other software," continued Ni Made Sasanti (AD).
