Changes in technology in the current era have been seen as a disruption. Namely the phenomenon that shifts activity in the real world into cyberspace. This phenomenon is growing with the increasingly limited distance between individuals and facilitated very fast access to reach information so that people can communicate and interact without limits. On the other hand, this era of disturbance certainly has a number of negative impacts, such as social problems in the community. Social changes that lead to uncomfortable living spaces, especially in big cities.

Rizaldy Al-Rasyid, student of the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture, IPB University, responded by giving a new perspective. Armed with a camera and ideas, Rizaldy raised a picture entitled “Harmony in the Digital Age”.

“In building a family not only can be calculated with the material, but can be felt from the awareness that arises, especially in the family itself. As I took the picture on Sunday, July 21, 2019 which is located in the Bogor Botanical Gardens. It appears that two families who were enjoying the weekend by exercising together in order to improve family health. This harmony can reflect the family’s well-being which is very much felt, even with all its limitations, “he explained.

Through the pictures that he participated in the photography competition, Rizaldy won 3rd place in the Photography Contest in the 2nd International Seminar on Family and Consumer Issues in Asia Pacific (ISCFCI) organized by the Indonesian Family and Consumer Science Association in collaboration with IPB University and Putra Malaysia University (UPM), IPB Business School, and Bogor Regency Government, last August.

“Alhamdulillah, I am very grateful that I won third place. “Surely I did not expect that before because I did not have expertise in the field of photography before and participating in this competition. I only intended to fill my spare time,” he said. (NR)
