This is a part of the song verse entitled "Kampus Terbaik" by the Rector of IPB University, Dr. Arif Satria. The song that was created specifically to welcome the 56th Anniversary was sung together with participants who attended the Opening Ceremony at Agribussiness Technology Park (ATP), Cikarawang, Dramaga, Bogor, (1/9).
This song is a reflection of IPB University as a campus that continues to produce inspiring innovations. According to the Chancellor, there are three factors that make IPB exist. First, its role in inspiring both in the fields of agriculture, education, and social which can be realized in the Real Work Lecture (KKN). Second, innovation has great benefits, especially for the people. Third, IPB University is famous for its lecturers, students, teaching staff, and alumni are recognized as people who have integrity.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the 56th Anniversary Committee, Dr. Aceng Hidaya said, "The theme of this year's Anniversary is Innovation for the Nation. This is in accordance with the new tagline of IPB University where IPB University has contributed to creating various innovations for the development and progress of the country."
The opening ceremony of the Anniversary was also marked by the handing over of scholarship funds that were successfully raised by the IPB Concern Alumni Foundation (YAPI) which collected Rp. 1.75 billion. Not only that, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between IPB University and the Government of Takalar Regency, South Sulawesi in supporting agricultural research and development as well as with PT Sang Hyang Seri in optimizing food, especially in seed production.
At the end of the event, the launching of Smart and Precise Feeding was conducted by Dr. Dwi Guntoro, To the Teaching Farm Sub Directorate, Directorate of Business Development and Entrepreneurship. Smart and Precise Feeding is an innovative management of fish feed management via Android. This innovation has the advantage of being able to adjust feeding time automatically.
Present at this event were structural officials, the Academic Senate (SA), the Council of Professors, previous rectors including Prof. AA Mattjik and Prof. Aman Wirakartakusumah. (RYS)
