Uwes Anis Chaeruman from the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs, the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti) in his remarks conveyed that universities must carry out curriculum reorientation, especially related to the literacy of the Industrial Revolution 4.0.

"If you could say, do not let us lose to online motorcycle taxis. We also need to design how to improve general education. Namely the ability to argue, think critically, and love the motherland. The world of technology has advanced so rapidly, especially in artificial intelligence, but not with the world of education. Industry 4.0 can be achieved not only by academic abilities but also other abilities such as data literacy, learning and innovation capabilities, media and technology information literacy, spiritual and religious literacy, technology literacy, life and career abilities and human literacy, "he explained before 80 Chairmen of Chemistry Departments throughout Indonesia.

Meanwhile, according to the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) IPB University, Dr. Ir Sri Nurdiati, in the future collaboration between universities is needed, especially organizations like this in order to support each other.

According to him there are at least two general problems that need to be resolved by the Chemistry Department. First is the high cost of equipment and chemicals. Secondly, the safety side in managing chemical waste that has been used.

"These are two very crucial issues to be dealt with, let alone we both want to prepare a better generation in the future," he added.

As a guest speaker at this event, Dr. Asmuwahyu as an industry practitioner gave his views on seeing the S1 Chemistry curriculum in the Industrial 4.0 era. According to him what is needed in industry 4.0 is the ability of problem solving.

"Other abilities that need to be developed are computational thinking and creative thinking. Therefore don't underestimate students who are actively organizing because they are active with the right brain which has a creative nature, "he explained. (SM / Zul)
