Rector Hopes that IPB University’s Young Lecturers Have the 3C

In his briefing at the heutagogy training of "Improving Professional Competence of Lecturers in Organizing Learning Process with IPB Education Perspective 4.0" d/h PEKERTI/AA at Swiss Belhotel, Bogor (22-24/7), Rector of IPB University, Dr. Arif Satria hopes that the young lecturers participating in the training have the 3C, which is Character, Competency and Caring.

“What must become the priority of a lecturer is credibility. Because of that, a lecturer have to keep developing the 3C; Character, Competency, and Caring,” said the Rector in front of 36 young lecturers of IPB University. The young lecturers have 5-10 years’ worth of teaching experiences, only eight of them have more than 10 years teaching experiences.

The training, organized by the Directorate of Program Development and Education Technology, aims to improve the quality of higher education, one of which is by increasing the lecturers’ competence. A lecturer must have heutagogical, personal, professional, and social competence.

“The participants are expected to be able to implement the paradigm through increasing their competence in planning, executing, and improving the quality of their learning,” said the Director of Program Development and Education Technology, Lien Herlina.

“In this training participants received materials such as Changes in Global Higher Education Patterns and 21st Century Skills, Towards IPB K-2020 Curriculum, Higher Education Outlook: Future Ready Mind Sets; Adult Learning: Pedagogy-Andragogy-Heutagogy, Life Based Learning in the context of Achievement Learning Outcomes (LO); Understanding of the Indonesian National Qualification Framework (KKNI) and National Higher Education Standards (SN-Dikti), Curriculum Development; Development of Learning Designs: Graduates Profile, Learning Outcomes / Learning Outcomes; Instructional Analysis (AI), Semester Learning Plan (RPS), Learning Program Unit (SAP); Learning Online (Online) -Blended Learning IPB; Develop Online Learning Designs; Basic Teaching Skills; Certificate of Companion of Diploma-IPB; Item Problem Construction and Learning Outcomes Assessment in the Context of Learning Outcomes and Microteaching Achievement.
