IPB University Students Cooperate with Many Parties to Clean Sukabumi’s Cibuaya Beach

IPB University students who took part in the 2019 Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKN-T) in Sukabumi took action on Coastal Clean Up at Cibuaya Beach, Sukabumi (17/7).  This beach clean-up activity is carried out to reduce waste on the beach, especially household waste and plastic waste.

Muhammad Fazri Faturrahman as Field Coordinator said that Coastal Clean Up had succeeded in cooperating with many parties.

"The Coastal Clean Up activity organized by the IPB University KKN-T team in Pangumbahan Village involves several regional agencies.  Among them are Pangumbahan village government officials, Air Force (TNI AU) Ujung Genteng, SDN Jaringao students, Ciburial Elementary School students, IPB University KKN-T team from Ujung Genteng, students from the College of Social and Political Sciences (STISIP)  Sukabumi, as well as the community of environmentalists from Pangumbahan village, namely Indo Volunteers, "he said.

This activity also received appreciation from the Indonesian Air Force.  According to Junaedi AP as the representative of the Indonesian Air Force, this activity made us aware and concerned about the environment.  So that it will be a pleasure for anyone who feels clean.

Junaedi appealed to visitors and the public in the coastal environment to keep the environment clean and make Cibuaya Beach free of garbage.  Cibuaya Beach is one of the attractions known as Sukabumi's Geopark.

"This program is one of the very good activities to be carried out, especially by making the Cibuaya Coast sea as a target for cleared locations.  So with the hope that in the future there will be more and more people who care about the cleanliness of the environment in order to realize a cleaner Indonesia, "said Agus, a representative of the Sukabumi STISIP students.  (** / Zul)
