It is Important to Formulate Education Curriculum for Water Products Technology

The Department of Aquatic Product Technology, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences of IPB University has held a Bachelor Education Workshop "Reorientation of Curriculum of Water Product Technology Undergraduate Program", Tuesday (2/7) at IPB University's Agribusiness and Technology Park in Cikarawang, Dramaga, Bogor.

The Bachelor Education Workshop was attended by 20 lecturers in the Department of Aquatic Product Technology, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences of IPB University.  The activity was opened by the Chair of the Department of Aquatic Product Technology, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, IPB, Dr.  Eng.  Uju, S.Pi., MSi was started with a presentation on "Re-Orientation of the Curriculum" which was conveyed by the Deputy Dean of Academic and Student Affairs, FPIK IPB University, Prof.  Dr.  Ir.  Joko Santoso, M.Sc.  "This activity is in the framework of IPB University Millennial Education 4.0.  Therefore IPB University is improving itself, by reorienting the old curriculum adapted to current demands.  "The leadership of IPB University encourages all faculties and departments to hold a Bachelor Education Workshop in order to reorient the curriculum," said Prof.  Joko.

On that occasion, Head of the Undergraduate Water Technology Technology Undergraduate Study Program, Dr.  Ir.  Iriani Setyaningsih, MS presented on "Curriculum Reorientation of the Undergraduate Program in Aquatic Products".  The discussion was guided by the Secretary of the Aquatic Product Technology Study Program, Dr.  Desniar, SPi, MSi, went on smoothly and produced a new Aquatic Product Technology Bachelor Program Curriculum, which is expected to be in accordance with the IPB University Millennium Education Plan 4.0.  (* / ris)
