IPB Archive Unit Exhibits Its Archiving System in Surabaya

To support and succeed the program “Gerakan Nasional Sadar Tertib Arsip (GNSTA)“ (National Movement of Archive Discipline Awareness), IPB University (IPB) Archive Unit joined Archive Exhibition in International Conferences on Archives, Social Science, Humanities and Education (ICoASHE) 2019, in Garuda Mukti Auditorium, Airlangga University Management Office, Surabaya (22-23/4).

IPB in ICoASHE 2019 adopts the theme “Cultivate Archive Discipline Awareness”, which has purpose to increase people’s understanding about the importance of archiving and to cultivate the awareness of archive discipline in higher education institutions and other Indonesia’s institutions.

“With this exhibition, various information about archiving in IPB environment are told according to the themes, in the forms of pictures, leaflets, souvenirs with archive discipline awareness logo, banners, books, etc. Besides that, in this opportunity also, IPB Archive Unit also introduces IPB University brands through brochure/leaflet and video screening,” said Ir. Hirra Nurlaeni, MM, Head of Sub Division (Kasubag) of Acquisition and Archive Processing, IPB Archive Unit.

There are 197 participants of ICoASHE 2019 from various areas. In this exhibition, the participants consulted about archiving problems with Kasubag of Archive Services and Archiving Assistance UA-IPB, Ir. Setyo Edy Susant, S.Th.I, M.Pd. Head of IPB Archive Unit, Drs. B. Mustafa, M.Lib. also gives explanation to visitors who want to know about IPB University brand. With this activity it is expected that Head of National Archives of Republic of Indonesia’s Rule No. 7 2017 about GNSTA can be implemented in various higher educations in Indonesia,” he said. In that ocassion, Ir. Hirra Nurlaeni, MM accepts Certificate of Membership in Indonesia’s Higher Education Archive Association (PAPTI). (Ard)
