Thematic Community Service Participants Bring IPB Innovations to Villages

Thematic Community Service (KKN-T) participants from IPB University (IPB) could bring IPB innovations to be implemented and utilized on field for the good of the locals. With this KKN-T, students would have high compassion and commitment, adept communication and inter-profession cooperation skills to contribute in problem solving in communities.

Such thing was stated by Vice Rector of Academics and Student Affairs, Dr. Drajat Martianto in the debriefing of each area’s potentials in each city/regency which are the destinations of KKN-T 2019. This debriefing was conducted in Common Class Room (CCR), IPB Dramaga Campus, Bogor (6/4).

“IPB KKN-T is a program in IPB to help giving solutions to real problems faced by village communities which is done continously. The purpose is to bring optimal positive benefits to people and regional governments as well as IPB as an institution who embodies Higher Education Tridharma,” he said.

According to Head of Institute of Research and Community Service (LPPM) IPB, Dr. Aji Hermawan, during this debriefing, LPPM IPB invited 30 representatives from regional governments to provide description of each area’s potentials.

“I express my gratitude to regional governments who have welcomed IPB students to conduct 2019 KKN-T. I hope thst students and locals can work together to improve agriculture,” he said. (Ard)
