IPB Archive Unit Helps Improving Archives of Other Working Units
Archives has important role in the viability of an organization, therefore Archive Unit of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) held various program for realization of well-managed archiving in IPB level. One of them is by serving the request for archival improvement on working units within IPB.

In the periode of last September–October 2018, team of Archive Acquisition and and Processing Sub-Division conducted static and dynamic archive improvement in Department of Aquatic Product Technology, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science (THP FPIK).
Meanwhile, Head of Archive Acquisition and and Processing Sub-Division IPB Archive Unit, Ir. Hirra Nurlaeni, MM, as the activity coordinator explained that for realization of the well-arranged archiving it is very important to regard on four archive management guidelines. Those are official document arrangement, archive classification, archive retention schedule and classification system of archive security and access.
Head of IPB Archive Unit mentioned that the archive of Department THP which has been arranged according to archival rules must be maintained. Therefore, Archive Unit will conduct monitoring and evaluation along with continuous development. This activity will be performed by team of Archive Services and Development which is coordinated by Setyo Edi Soesanto, S.Th.I., M.Pd.
“Future expectation, it can be established well-managed archiving culture that is sustainable in all working units within IPB, encourage archive creators to coordinate with Archive Unit so that archiving be performed in accordance with the principle, rules, standard of archiving and applicable regulation,” he said.
Therefore, the next programs planned by Archive Unit are organize the socialization of National Movement of Well-Managed Archiving's Awareness (GNSTA), open archival consultation to solve archival problems in working units within IPB. (qa)
