Choralescene, a beautiful combination between IPB and Unpad Student Choirs

The concert entitled Choralescene with the tagline "A Masterpice of Two Melliflous Souls" became an arena to prove the compatibility of the Student Choir (PSM) of Agria Swara, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) with PSM Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad). Located at Tan Siong Kie Hall ACS Jakarta, (25/11), this collaboration created a new history in the choir world. This is a concert that is awaited by choir music lovers and of course as a manifestation of the aspirations of alumni from the two choir groups.

Under the same guidance and training from a talented conductor, Arvin Zeinullah, PSM IPB Agria Swara and Unpad Choir (Unpad Choir) managed to amaze the audience with his performance. "Singing in a choir is not just sounding tones, beats, and dynamics. The more valuable thing is how to turn on music so that it can inspire everyone who hears," Alvin said.

The first session opened with the song "Laudate Dominum" by Jakob Handl. The singer is divided into four choirs that surround the audience. This makes the atmosphere of the song alive and creates its own impression in the ears of the audience. Unpad Choir opened the second session by singing the song "Puing" by N. Simanungkalit. The IPB Agria Swara Choir then performed the song "Because You Are" by Farman Purnama. Although trained by the same trainer and the same method, it can be seen that the Unpad Choir and the IPB Agria Swara Student Choir have their own characters.

Singer costumes also boast this concert. Agria Swara and Unpad Choir chose the ultraviolet color palette which is "color of the year 2018".

The concert was attended by the Secretary of the Directorate General of Control of Watersheds and Protection Forests (PDASHL) Ir. Yuliarto Joko Purtanto, Rector of IPB, Dr. Arif Satria, Vice Rector for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Ir Drajat Martianto, MSc and Counselor of PSB IPB Agria Swara, Dr.drh. RP Agus Lelana, SpMP, MSi.

This collaboration concert will still be held once more in Bandung on 29 November at Grha Sanusi Hardjadinata Padjadjaran University. See you in the city of Bandung! Choir greeting. (RYS)
