IPB Business School Students Win the Sociopreneur Plan Competition in the National Economic View 2018
Three students from Business School of Bogor Agricultural University (SB IPB), namely Dystiana Putri Abistha, Adharilya Hidayati, and Desviana Amalia Ramadhani, won 1st place in the Sociopreneurship Lean Canvas Competition of the National Economic View 2018 organized by the Student Executive Board, Faculty of Economics, Surabaya State University (UNESA), Saturday (11/10). The activity themed "Industrial Revolution 4.0 in Supporting Sociopreneurship in Indonesia" was participated by various universities in Indonesia.
Dysti and the team realized a problem experienced by floriculture farmers in Cianjur. They continue to suffer losses due to the nature of perishable agricultural products and the congestion in the area which lead to the decrease of income. "We take the initiative to develop a product called Delonix in the form of dried flower-based soap. This Delonix product is expected to be a solution for the problem faced by Cianjur's floriculture farmers and as an alternative beauty product for consumers. Besides being marketed through offline channels such as beauty salons, hotels, and souvenir centers, this Delonix product also utilizes e-marketing facilities such as through various e-commerce and websites as a response to developments in the digital world and industry 4.0 in Indonesia," said Dysti.
In addition to the Delonix Team, another IPB Team consisting of Aulia Anggriani, Agna Amalia Rachmat, and Diana Natalia Simanungkalit who are the third semester active students of the undergraduate program of IPB Business School (SB) was also named as the Best Advertisement Video winner in this prestigious national competition. The business idea offered was Luce product, which is aromatherapy candles made of coffee and tea grounds, with deaf people in Bogor as a partner.
The achievements of these two IPB Teams in the National Economic View 2018 event further prove that IPB continues to strive to realize its vision of becoming a techno-socio-entrepreneur university. (ACH/zsp/ris)
