124 Higher Education Institutions Send Entrepreneurial Students to IPB

The fundamental difference between celebrities and heroes is if the celebrity is big because of the media, while the big hero is because of the work. This was stated by the Chancellor of the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB), Dr. Arif Satria gave a speech at the opening of the 9th Indonesian Student Entrepreneurship Expo (KMI) on Saturday (10/11) at the Dramaga IPB Campus, Bogor.

"Therefore, I hope that students who will be here will become the heroes of the Indonesian nation. Especially economic heroes, "said the IPB Chancellor.

The event, which opened on November 10, 2018 which also coincided with Heroes' Day, was attended by 124 colleges consisting of 88 universities, 19 institutes, 16 polytechnics and 1 academy.

KMI IX was officially opened by Dr. Didin Wahidin, M.Pd, Director of Student Affairs, Directorate General of Learning and Student Affairs, Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemristekdikti). In his remarks Dr. Didin said that being an entrepreneur is very noble because it can create colors for the Indonesian economy and prosperity.

KMI itself is one of the entrepreneurship programs for students from the Directorate General of Learning and Student Affairs of the Kemristekdikti. This annual event takes place from 9 to 12 November 2018.

Various events were held as a series of KMI IX namely KMI Award, College Leadership Workshop, Student Workshop, Indonesia Student Entrepreneurship Network, Entrepreneurship Talkshow, UMKM Bazaar and City Tour. (AMA / ris)
