In the opening of this dies, Prof. Ali Ghufron Mukti congratulated IPB for successfully entering 100 plus the best universities in the world by subject Agriculture and Forestry.

The Chancellor of IPB hopes that at this mature age of IPB, IPB can carry out the tasks of the Ministry of Research and Technology to become a leading in the field of agriculture.
"Being the top 100 universities in the world is a big capital for IPB to continue to advance and develop. In this era of industrial revolution 4.0, universities in Indonesia must be adaptive to change. There must be an improvement in education so that the role of IPB is more significant. "In the future IPB will not lose to Go Jek University," said the Chancellor of IPB.
"IPB will encourage its students to master in agriculture. They must be in direct contact with the community so that research and innovation are produced in accordance with the needs of the community. We will print leaders in the world of agriculture, God willing, "said the Chancellor of IPB.
On this occasion, IPB also collaborated with the City Government (Pemkot) of Bogor. Chancellor of IPB and Mayor of Bogor, Dr. Bima Arya signed a memorandum of understanding (memorandum of understanding / MoU) between IPB and Bogor City Government regarding Education, Research, and Community Service.
In addition, IPB and the Bogor City Government also signed a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) on the provision of educational scholarships for IPB students with undergraduate programs who excel from underprivileged families. "All that accompanies the development of the city of Bogor must be in contact with IPB. The Bogor City mid-term development plan was designed by IPB. Means that if there is an appreciation to the City of Bogor it means appreciation to IPB. Our strategic partnership will continue. This is the age of competition, not competition. Governments, campuses, entrepreneurs, communities, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), all play a role in changing this nation or city. I am thankful today to be given the opportunity again in cooperation with IPB. All aspects of city planning need the touch from campus. Cities in this republic must be driven by ideas, innovation, and ideas, not by strength, power or muscle. Cities in Indonesia must be driven by science and knowledge, not by other interests, only by that, we can move more quickly to pursue the progress of other nations. Therefore, the Bogor City Government provided scholarships to IPB students. We give large space to young people who have potential but are limited in financial ability, "he said.
In the opening moment of this Anniversary, IPB also gave awards to educators, educational staff and outstanding students. Educators and educational staff with excellence will get mobility funds and can visit universities abroad to get better insights.
