IPB Signed Cooperation with Republic of Indonesia Ministry of Health

Rector of Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB), Dr. Arif Satria and Director General of Public Health, Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia (Ministry of Health RI), Kirana Pritasari signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) about increasing public health services in order to accelerate Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This signing did in Ministry of Health RI office Jakarta (2/8). Rector of IPB accompanied by Director of Cooperation and Alumni Relations of IPB, Dr. Heti Mulyati.

In this cooperation two parties agreed to increase public health services by formulating and facilitating the implementation of policies, socialization, advocacy, coordination of improvement of public health services in order to accelerate SDGs achievement especially point 2, 3, 5, and 6: No Hunger; Good Health and Welfare; Gender equality; and Clean Water and Sanitation. Cooperation between the two parties will be valid for a period of 5 (five) years.

“Not a few studies that can support the achievement of SDGs produced by IPB experts. IPB has Faculty of Human Ecology (FEMA) that can support in formulating and facilitating the implementation of policies, socialization, advocacy, coordination in increasing of developing community nutrition, family and consumer science, and communication and community development science. Beside that, IPB can help in providing academic contributions to increase quality of life that is healthy, intelligent, productive and sustainable, " said Rector.

Also, IPB is institution that is ready to  print human resources who are competent and able to face the challenges of global competition.
