IPB Officially Open Taman Koleksi Cafe & Resto

Rector of the Bogor Institute of Agriculture (IPB), Dr. Arif Satria officially opened Cafe & Resto of Taman Koleksi which is managed by Directorate of Business and Commercial Asset Management IPB. Grand Opening Cafe & Resto which formerly known as Cafe Takol is marked by cutting tumpeng and ribbon cutting in front of Taman Koleksi Cafe & Resto entrance by Rector, accompanied by Vice Rector for Innovation, Business and Entrepreneurship, Prof. Dr. Erika B Laconi, Vice Rector for Resources, Planning and Finance, Prof. Dr. Agus Purwito, Vice Rector for Cooperation and Information System, Prof. Dodik Ridho Nurrochmat and other IPB leaders in IPB Baranangsiang Campus, Bogor (29/7).

In his speech, IPB Rector said that the opening of this cafe & restaurant is part of IPB's role in advancing the product of Innovation of IPB. The newly launched Taman Koleksi Cafe & Resto comes in a different concept. "Taman Koleksi or usually called Takol is a place where students are hanging out, so there is a history that wants to be maintained and kept guard. The concept developed is to offer story behind the products, "explained the Rector.

"We want to present local products, especially the innovation of IPB, for example, ginger from innovation or innovation of rice. We also want to promote food diversification and offer new experiences while eating at the café. There is a story in the café. For example, the story of how the coffee produced by the farmers. The success of presenting the story will create an impression for consumers, "he explained.

With this new concept, Rector of IPB hopes the profit of Taman Koleksi Cafe & Resto can increase fivefold. Such targets can and are very likely. Because of the new creativity offered. Meanwhile, according to Vice Rector for Innovation, Business and Entrepreneurship, Prof. Erika B Laconi, what we are launching today is a long struggle of Innovation, Business and Entrepreneurship Team for Taman Koleksi Cafe & Resto to be fully owned by IPB and designed to be a new concept of Cafe & Resto.

"This place can be a location to meet students and alumni of IPB. Here we try to put forward IPB products, we also sell the works of lecturers of IPB, "he said.

Various culinary products presented at Taman Koleksi Cafe & Resto are innovative products of lecturers, education personnel, supporting business units, also SMEs assisted by Incubie IPB. Various snack products have been registered in the Directorate of Business and Commercial Asset Management IPB.

" Taman Koleksi Cafe & Resto will be a showroom to introduce new works of innovation from lecturers, education personnel and also from IPB's targeted business.
