Accepting Youth Lecturer Apprenticeship, IPB Becomes Other Collegiate Pilot

Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) received a delegation of young lecturer in Lecturer Apprenticeship Program Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti) 2018. The group of apprenticeship lecturer was welcomed by Vice Rector for Resources, Planning, and Finance, Prof. Dr. Ir. Agus Purwito, M.Sc., Agr in the Rector Conference Room, Dramaga Campus IPB, Wednesday (11/7).

The group consisted of 23 young lecturers from various universities in Indonesia, including Halu Oleo University, Gorontalo University, Serambi University of Mecca, Jember University, and Muhammadiyah University of Sinjai. This lecturer apprenticeship program will last for 4 months.

"Please take advantage of existing facilities well. Because the time of four months is not long, then please proactively ask about the management of State Universities Legal Entity (PTN BH), lectures, lab work and all that is in IPB, "said Prof. Dr. Ir. Agus Purwito.

Prof. Agus hopes that young lecturers who attend apprenticeship program can improve their capacity and improve the quality of institutions. In addition, young lecturers can get experience in designing research proposals, teaching lectures, following practicum and even continue to study in IPB.

Kemenristekdikti lecturer apprenticeship program has been done since 2006. One of the aims of the apprenticeship program is to improve the knowledge of young lecturers about the management of university builders, especially PTN BH and the application of Three Pillars of Universities (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi).

"We hope that with this apprenticeship program we can know the management system of PTN BH in IPB and apply it in our university, which is still BLU," added the Chairman of the Delegation, Muhammad Fajar Purnama, who is a young lecturer from Halu Oleo University. (flw)
