30 CINTA FPIK, an Inspirational Story from Alumni of FPIK Batch 30

Besides attending lectures, students of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) are also active in various activities, committees and organizations in IPB. These activities indeed hone the skills of students to become a skilled graduates and able to adapt to all kinds of conditions and demands both the world of work and higher education.
30 Cinta FPIK: an Inspirational Story from FPIK Alumni (Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences) IPB Batch 30 was a talk show that shares tips to live in campus life, enter the world of work, and to achieve success. The event which took place at the Auditorium Sumardi Sastrakusumah FPIK, Dramaga IPB Campus on Saturday (7/7) presented several FPIK alumni batch 30, namely Imas Masriah (bureaucrat), Hartanti (Entrepreneur), Deasy Dasmita (Journalist), Indra Djohar (Environmental Consultant), Sutomo (Entrepreneur), Jaja Subagja (Entrepreneur), Roza Yusfiandayani (Academician) and Rudi Alex (bureaucrat) as moderator.
According to Roza Yusfiandayani, the Chief Committee of this talk show, this activity was held to motivate IPB students in sharpening their potential. Students must be active both when attending lectures in FPIK and outside FPIK.
"Students must actively participate in competitions, committees and organizations in IPB. This will support characters to interact with others. Thus after graduating from college they will be able to work successfully either in the field of lectures or according to skills (passion) respectively," said Roza.
Meanwhile, Jaja Subagja who currently works in the field of entrepreneurship describes his story while studying at IPB. During his lecture at IPB, Jaja learned how to do entrepreneurship.
According to him, the small thing that students often do is danus (selling snacks) to increase personal allowance or for various activities in IPB. That's a small sample that can be done and the results are very useful.
"The experience I gained then I apply in entrepreneurship. For example when we become a salesman, we must understand the products we will sell, the advantages and disadvantages of the product. So a salesman should never vilify other people's products (competitors), should care about each other, do not give up easily, make our customers like and comfortable with our product through a good negotiation, be a good listener not a good speaker, and our relationship as a seller with all customers must be strong," said Jaja Subagja.
30 Cinta FPIK is a part of IPB alumni silver reunion of batch 30 from seven faculties namely Faculty of Agriculture (Faperta), Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FKH), Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science (FPIK), Faculty of Animal Husbandry (Fapet), Faculty of Forestry (Fahutan), Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Technology (Fateta) and Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), that will be held on September 9, 2018.
The alumni of batch 30 planned to give 30 bikes to IPB to assist the mobilization of lectures or activities at IPB and the making of the IPB batch 30 garden as a form of memories for the beloved alma mater.
"Why there are only 7 faculties when IPB now has 10 faculties? That's because when we were in college, IPB consisted of 7 faculties. However, this talk show is open for all IPB students from any faculty," said Harris Noor Rabbasa as the organizing committee of the 30 Cinta IPB Silver Reunion. (FM)
