Indonesian Green Action Forum (IGAF) and Student Executive Board of Bogor Agricultural University (BEM KM of IPB) held a series of events to commemorate Earth Hour on 23-24 March 2018 at IPB Dramaga Campus. To emphasize the focus of this activity in environmental issues, three events were provided, namely Green Art, Art Corner "Rangpukpah" and Open Discussion on the latest environmental issues. Several parties involved in this activity were the Environmental Forum of IPB (all Student Organizations concerning the environment such as BEM KM, BEM of Faculty, Professional Association and Student Activity Unit), the Finalists of IPB Environmental Ambassador, Directorate of Business and Commercial Assets Management, Green Campus Management, as well as Bureau of Public Facilities and Infrastructure.

"This environmental action was initiated by Green Art featuring performance of Gentra Kaheman, the acoustic and life mural from Landscape Architecture, and then followed by Rakpungpah (Garbage Pick Up Movement) activity. The cleaning activity educated Babakan Raya (Bara) people in keeping the cleanliness of Bara area around IPB Dramaga Campus," said Tamyizul Muhtar, the Chief Executive.

He added that the final series of this event was IGAF Open Discussion with the theme "How is Green Campus 2020?". It was a discussion activity to provide solutions to the problems of Green Campus applied in IPB. This activity featured the Head of Communication Bureau of IPB, Ir. Yatri Indah Kusumastuti, M.Si, who provided material on Green Campus. Participants of this open discussion were Forling members and the Finalists of IPB Environmental Ambassador.

"This activity was held to commemorate the Earth Hour event. By conducting such activity, we hope that the movement of students in the field of environment can keep continuing to provide benefits for the surrounding, thus, it can contribute to the success of Green Campus 2020," said Yatri.

In addition, Tamyizul stated that environmental activities such as campaigns, education, training and discussion contain very positive impact. "Who will care and remind each other about our environment if they are not us? Hopefully, this activity can be better and sustainable for the future," he said optimistically.

He hoped that there will be more students' involvement in such activities and the results of discussion, campaigns and education can be applied in daily life ranging from small things that have a big impact. (TK)
