Alumni Association of all Batches of IPB Competing to Assist the Development of Campus Parks

This year the 47 parks in the Campus of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) Dramaga, Bogor, will be revitalized. It is the follow-up action of the IPB Intergovernmental Gathering Forum at TechnOsNet, IPB Campus, Baranangsiang, on 17 March 2018. This friendship forum was organized by the Directorate of Cooperation and Alumni Relations of IPB

As the Chairman of the Alumni Association (HA) of IPB, Fathan Kamil said that alumni of IPB want to actively involved, especially in encouraging to beautify the exterior of IPB campus, Dramaga, their alma mater.

"The alumni commitment to their beloved campus, whatever contribution the alumni to present in the future, we do, we start, we’ll contribute directly. So we can beautify the exterior of our IPB campus,  is supposed to be the most aesthetically pleasing park to the human eye. We encourage the alumni to do something and then we run. Hopefully many things we can do. I hope we all participate actively," he said.

Yet Rector of IPB, Dr.Arif Satria, stated that the contribution of alumni on IPB campus park development program, it is their concrete manifestation of their beloved to their alma mater. According to him, Department of Landscape Architecture (Dept. ARL) of IPB has proven to be a reliable and competent partner for landscape designs for challenging urban spaces. Accordingly, for campus park designs IPB entrusted its design projects to Dept. ARL.

"In the future, not only campus park development but alumni association of the Faculties under IPB will be given opportunity to improve their initiative and hard work to compete each other to beautify their environment as etalase or storefront of the exterior gardens of their Faculties. So any guest come to visit the IPB campus, there are impressive displays to see in each Faculty. Such projects can be implemented with the involvement of alumni, so their desire to have home coming will be higher, "said Rector. (Wied)
