The Socialization Program Organized by IPB in Pangandaran, Has Opened Students’ Mind Widely on IPB
Forum Pangandaran is forum for students of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) from Pangandaran. Recently the Forum organized the roadshow to eight Senior High Schools (SMA) and Madrasah Aliyah (MA) in Pangandaran Regency. 14 members of this Forum have involved in the roadshow in Pangandaran, and was attended by 644 students of 8 High Schools.
Many students were very enthusiastic to welcome such program, it was seen from the number of students who raised questions. One student of MAN 1 Pangandaran, Supriadi asked about the admission system into IPB, especially the system that will qualify chairman of the OSIS of high Schools into IPB, said Rizki M Iqbal, a member of Pangandaran Forum.
"I feel happy with this socialization. After participating in this socialization program, I was really well-informed on IPB. The roadshow really convinced me about the academic and non-academic excellence of the said university. I have opened my mind widely to accept more about IPB and determined to continue by higher degree program in this university, "said Supriadi.
Meanwhile, the counseling teacher of SMA Kesatria Nusantara, Cucu Nurdiniyah expressed her happiness over the visit of IPB students. "I thank them for their visit. Of course, I represent the school to express its sincere thanks the visit of students of IPB to their area for the socialization program of the leading university in the country. Such program was the first to be held in the SMA Kesatria Nusantara. We are proud of to be the host of such program as our school is a new school," she said.
One of the roadshow committee, Lestya Juli Andini responded that they decided to visit the school as students of SMA Kesatria Nusantara who pursue their study in IPB made good achievement, for example some have participated in National Science Olympiad (OSN). "Our visit to this school is due to the successful achievement made by alumnus of this school, particularly in OSN Porgram," she concluded. (Wied)
