IPB Goes to School to Banyumas and Purbalingga

The Organisasi Mahasiswa Daerah (Omda Regional Student Organization) of Banyumas and Purbalingga who are members of Ikamahamas spent their  odd semester vacation by organizing  IPB Goes to School (IGTS). Approximately 30 members of Ikamahamas visited 13 SMA / MA in Banyumas and Purbalingga districts on January 16 – February 2, 2018. At least 3,100 students attended this IGTS series, including campus expo in SMA Negeri Jatilawang, MAN 2 Purwokerto, and SMA Negeri 2 Purwokerto.

One member of the Organizing Committee, Ninda Anggita, explained that teachers and students from each school they visited responded well. Questions were raised in every question and answer session, was about IPB Admission Systems for new students, faculty and majors, tips and tricks to be admitted into the university especially IPB, as well as life in the university in general about study program, living cost in Bogor, up to the prospect of work. According to them, they were pleased with the visit of IPB representatives to their schools. Similarly, teachers in every school, were happy with this IGTS program," she said.

"Alhamdulillah, quite a lot of students interested in and planned to pursue their higher degree program in IPB. With the a novel selection scheme to select new intakes through the special path, by selecting  Chairman of Organisasi Intra Sekolah (OSIS Intra School Organization), some Chairman of OSIS of SMA / MA in Banyumas and Purbalingga districts expressed their interested to pursue their higher degree program in IPB, "said Ninda.
