Some students of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) made an official visit to the Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly (Majelis Permusyawaratan Rakyat; MPR) of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. (HC). H. Zulkifli Hasan, in Nusantara III Building of Parliament Complex, DPR MPR RI, Jakarta, recently. These student consisted of scholarship awardees of Beasiswa Aktivis Nusantara 7 IPB (PM Bakti Nusa IPB) and the Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa Keluarga Mahasiswa (BEM KM  the Executive Boards of Student) of  IPB.

The Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia expressed his pride to the students of IPB because they have a passion for learning to develop their country. According to him, age is inherently linked with time and so personal aging can never be separated from social aging. But students will never be separated from the social changes that the concept of nation began to change. Reform, democracy and everything that happens in this digital age, he said, is a form of student contribution. Therefore, the Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia (MPR) said that the students should be able to lead the nation to have the appropriate nation-building.

"Students in this period are very lucky students. Lectures have been facilitated, many scholarships are provided, stay fertilizer willingness. Equality of opportunity had been facilitated,  the provision of scholarships, and the spread of a more 'accessible' subjects in the curriculum, being more willing to learn effectively. In the pursuit of achievement, self confidence is a vital component in spurring a student into performing their best work," he said.

On this occasion also, the Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia urged students who came to meet him to take care of Indonesia, by recognizing the potential centers of origin in each area of their origin. "To arrive to the stage of caring behavior for Indonesia, we must love our country. Caring is present when we fully understand the problems that exist. Therefore, we must fully understand the magnitude and severity of the challenges our country has been facing, "he said.

Accompanied the group for their official trip were the  lecturer of Agribusiness IPB who is also Manager of Bakti Nusa IPB, Ach. Firman Wahyudi S.E., M.Si and the Vice President of the Executive Boards of Student of IPB, Surya Bagus Mahardika. (Wied)
