Department of Islamic Economics of IPB Held Seminar on “Islam, Economy and Nationality”

Department of Islamic Economics, Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) conducted a National Seminar on "Islam, Economy and Nationality". The event was held at the Common Class Room Building (CCR) of IPB Dramaga Campus, Bogor (19/1).

Rector of IPB, Dr. Arif Satria, in this opportunity, conveyed the importance of ukhuwah Islamiyah. Meanwhile, General Chairman of Nahdlatul Ulama Board (PBNU), Prof. Dr. KH. Said Agil Iroj, as the keynote speaker, confirmed that the real enemies of Indonesian citizens are terrorists, drug dealers and LGBT followers (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender).

The resource persons of the seminar were Professor of Faculty of Agricultural Technology of Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Prof. Dr. Mochammad Maksum Machfoedz; Director of PT. Bank Syariah Mandiri (BSM), Putu Rahwidhiyasa; and Chief Executive of Presidential Work Unit of Pancasila Ideology Development (UKP-PIP), Yudi Latief, Ph.D.

The event was followed by symbolic handover from BSM and Rector of IPB to the students who received the Islamic Sociopreneur Development Program (ISDP) scholarship. (TK)
