Domba Cup, the Event of Silaturahim of Regional Student Organization (OMDA) of IPB

Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) had thousands of students from all over Indonesia. Every student who had a similarity of regional origin gathered to form the Regional Student Organization (OMDA). Until today, there were over 100 OMDA that were officially recorded.

One of them was Garut Student Association / Himpunan Mahasiswa Garut (Himaga) of IPB. To strengthen the silaturahim between OMDA, Himaga again held Domba Cup 2017 in Campus of IPB, Dramaga (3-17/12). Domba Cup was the sports competition attended by 28 OMDA.

Fuja As’aryanda Ramadhani as the Chairman of the Committee said that Domba Cup had been held regularly since 2010. “It is named Domba Cup because the one that initiates this activity is the student from Garut. Garut has been famous for his sheep. Domba Garut has characteristics as a formidable fighter. Domba Cup itself is a futsal championship that compete for prizes in the form of money, certificates, medals, and trophies,” she said.

In addition to connecting the silaturahim, Domba Cup also aimed to improve the health of the students of IPB with regular exercise and to become the place to scent the good name of each region of OMDA.  

Rizki Mujizat as the Chairman of Himaga said “Suruduk Aduken Edankeun” became the sound of jargon or encouragement that was supported by the supporter team of Himaga IPB 2017.

“I hope that Domba Cup 2017 runs smoothly and is better than in the previous years. As well as being an event that can tighten the relationship between OMDA, and maintain the solidarity between OMDA and the students in IPB, as well as realize how important to live healthy with exercise,” said Rizki, the student of the Department of Sharia Economics, Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) of IPB.
